AML/KYC Compliance
Jittie is fully compliant with AUSTRAC regulations. All users must complete identity verification before receiving digital assets in their custodial wallet.
Our Commitment to Compliance
As a registered Digital Currency Exchange (DCE) with AUSTRAC, Jittie is committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance with Australian anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations. Our registration number is DCE: 100 805 011-001.
Compliance is not optional - it's a legal requirement for all digital currency exchanges operating in Australia. At Jittie, we take this responsibility seriously and have implemented comprehensive AML/KYC procedures to protect our users, prevent financial crime, and maintain the integrity of Australia's financial system.
AUSTRAC Registration
Jittie is registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) as a Digital Currency Exchange. AUSTRAC is Australia's financial intelligence unit and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulator.
Our Registration Details:

- Registered Entity: Eagle BTM Pty Ltd Trading As Jittie
- ACN: 659 281 820

This registration means Jittie is legally authorized to operate as a digital currency exchange in Australia and is subject to ongoing regulatory oversight and compliance requirements.
What is AML/KYC?
AML (Anti-Money Laundering) refers to laws, regulations, and procedures designed to prevent criminals from disguising illegally obtained funds as legitimate income. Money laundering is a serious crime that can fund terrorism, drug trafficking, and other illegal activities.
KYC (Know Your Customer) is the process of verifying the identity of customers before or during the time they start doing business with a financial institution. KYC helps ensure that services are not misused and that customers are who they claim to be.
Together, AML/KYC procedures help protect the financial system, prevent fraud, and ensure that digital currency exchanges operate safely and legally.
Why KYC Verification is Required
Under Australian law, all digital currency exchanges must verify the identity of their customers. This is not optional - it's a legal requirement enforced by AUSTRAC. At Jittie, we require all users to complete KYC verification before they can receive any digital assets in their custodial wallet.
KYC verification is required because:
- It's a legal requirement under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006
- It helps prevent money laundering and terrorist financing
- It protects legitimate users from fraud and identity theft
- It ensures the integrity of Australia's financial system
- It helps us comply with AUSTRAC reporting obligations
- It enables us to provide secure and compliant services
Without completing KYC verification, you cannot receive digital assets in your Jittie custodial wallet. This is a security measure that protects both you and the broader financial system.
The KYC Verification Process
Our KYC verification process is designed to be quick, secure, and user-friendly while meeting all regulatory requirements. Here's what you'll need to do:
Step 1: Create Your Account
